PJ Pickens' Consultation: My name is Jon Pickens and I have a passion to help churches become more intentional and focused on their unique mission. I have been in full time ministry for over 27 years, 16 as a student ministries pastor and 11 as a lead pastor of First Baptist Church in Lowell, MI. I have a passion for the church to thrive in a time when things are changing quickly and more and more challenges face the church. I have facilitated countless planning meetings, whether it be for the church or other Christian ministries. It has been said that a failure to plan is a plan to fail. This is why I am engaged in church consultation. I am a certified church consultant through Church Answers. I offer a few different options for churches in packages from a general consultation to strategic planning facilitation. I find that many churches do not need to always go through the expense and time of a full consultation but would benefit greatly from someone from the outside facilitating a two day strategic planning session, helping the leadership identify the major objectives and “get there goals” for their ministry.
